MEDITAMBURI PROJECT
Percussion World Music
With the participation of the small orchestra of drums  of Praiano

It is a concert-show born from the passion and work of Paolo Cimmino, from his strong experience of percussion music: comparation-match- rhythms.
The traditional music, of different people and cultures, are mixed into a new form of music far from any definition of "type" of music.
The drums, the sounds of Southern Italy , are next to the typical Latin-American rhythms.
The African percussion will be open to “a dialogue” with those of India: sophisticated vocal and evocative melodies will born.

ANNA CINZIA VILLANI
Pizzica – The Salento (Puglia) voice

Anna Cinzia Villani is the most representative voice of the folk tradition of Salento (Region PUGLIA). She knew the traditional music of his homeland by chance: thanks to parties and meetings organized in the 90s in Salento. Her voice, that many call "ancient" and typical and traditional met “i cantori” normal people, not professional singers but lovers of traditional music.
Anna Cinzia Villani is now working with I SUONI RURALI – traditional singers performing sounds from Salento and the Murgia; with the Ensemble Terra d'Otranto, often with Malicanti offering sounds and songs from Gargano in Puglia.
